Diana Mae Hopper, 71, of Indianapolis passed away June 10.  She is survived by life partner Candace Alexander, sons Scott and Douglas Hopper, brother David DeWitt, and granddaughter Courtney Mae Hopper.  

She was a proud nurse, devoted mother, loving sister, adoring grandmother, beloved by family and friends. Though she fiercely battled Multiple Sclerosis for more than 30 years, her strength and compassion were never defeated.

Diana loved reading, writing, politics, fighting for equality, laughing, summers, vacationing in Michigan, and being with those she loved.  

She believed actions speak louder than words. Diana showed the world what it means to be yourself.
