Georgia Katherine Lucas, 67, of Indianapolis passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017.  She was born on January 9, 1950 in Indianapolis to the late Joseph Otto and Mildred Elizabeth (Niemeyer) Braun. 

Georgia was a member of St. Roch Catholic Church.  She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. 

Survivors include her husband, Maurice Lucas; children, Sandra Pederson (Joshua), David Dearth (Christine) and Tyrus Dearth; siblings, Delores Braun, Mary Payne (Tim), Clare Hashemi (Amin), Charles Braun and Marcia Floyd (Randy); grandchildren, Michael Rosetta, Rayven Dearth, Dominique Rosetta, Brooklyn Dearth, Magdalena Dearth, Blake Dearth, Kaleen Dearth, Nathaniel Dearth and Zayden Dearth.  She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ray Alan Dearth; and siblings, Frances Braun, Joe Braun and Ann Braun. 

Family and friends will gather on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in St. Roch Catholic Church, 3600 S. Pennsylvania St., Indianapolis.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following visitation on Friday at 1 p.m. in the church.  Burial will take place in Crown Hill Cemetery.
