Janette Kay Lynch, 64, of Indianapolis passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born on June 22, 1953 in Indianapolis to the late Charles and Ruth Ellinger.
Full of life and love, she was a devoted grandmother, mother, sister and friend. She became known as MOGO (Matriarchal Old Great One). She was passionate and tenacious about the things she cared about, namely family. She dedicated her life to family and serving them. She had a servant’s heart, and gave anything she could to ease the burdens of the people around her. She lived to serve. “Life is a musical” was one of her mantras, and she would break out in song or poem to empathize with the mood or temperament of the situation. She loved musicals, reading, riding bikes, playing racquetball, and spending time with her grand-babies.
She is survived by four Daughters, Sarah Fishburn (Brandon), Ashley Lynch, Ali Smith (Jim) and Samantha Lynch, all of Indianapolis; her brother, Tim Ellinger; her four sisters, Beth Luster, Chris O’Donnell, Kathy Sparks, and Joyce Ellinger. She is also survived by three grandchildren of whom she adored: Liam Fishburn, Charlie Fishburn, and Lyle Smith. Aside from her immediate family she is survived by numerous extended family and close friends.
