Jinny L. Pittman, 74, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018 in Indiana University Hospital West in Avon. She was born on December 5, 1943 in Indianapolis to the late James Benjamin and Crystal Faye (Douglass) Pittman.
Jinny was a 1962 graduate of Washington High School. She worked as a secretary for Stokely VanCamp and later for the State of Indiana prior to her retirement. Jinny attended the former Parkview Christian Church which she dearly loved. Her passions were small dogs and hunky men, word search puzzles and feeding the birds. She was adventurous and most recently traveled to New York City to see Hugh Jackman on Broadway.
Survivors include her sisters, Linda S. Firestone and Nancy L. Pulley (Bob); nieces and nephews, Scott Ball, Andy Firestone, Crystal Firestone (Phillip Freije), James Firestone, Emily Pulley (James Dunbar) and Dylan Pulley (Aubrey); and several great nieces and nephews and one great-great-niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her beloved aunt, Violet Douglass.
Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis. A service celebrating her life will follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Loral Tansy.
Burial: Crown Hill Cemetery.
