Michael Allen Worthington, 49, of Indianapolis, passed away, unexpectedly, on Wednesday, August 17, 2016.  He was born on July 8, 1967 to Gilbert and Rebecca (Burtt) Worthington in Indianapolis.  Michael was a disk jockey who loved music and collecting old records and games.  He had an engineering mindset and enjoyed tinkering with cars and revitalizing anything old and making it useful again. Michael was a devoted grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his grandson, Connor. 

Survivors include his loving wife, Betty Jane (Brown) Worthington; son, Joshua Allen Worthington; daughter, Katie R. Johnson; father, Gilbert Worthington; Grandmother, Carrie Hausman; uncle, Dale (Linda) Hausman; step-daughter, Amanda Dawn Greif (Christopher); and grandson, Connor Dean.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Stokes. 

Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 1 to 3 p.m. in Englewood Christian Church, 57 N. Rural St., Indianapolis, IN 46201.  Additional visitation will be held in the Lauck & Veldhof Funeral Home, 1458 S. Meridian St., also on Wednesday, August 24 from 5 to 8 p.m.  Funeral services will take place on Thursday, August 25 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with one hour of visitation prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Concordia Cemetery.
