To the family if Mr. Fablan,
He spoke at my fathers funeral last July and was very nice and understanding. He made that day a little easier for my family and it is appreciated. He was a good man. We are sorry for your loss. ❤

Farewell to a dear friend and colleague from Indiana Conference UMC and sojourner on the ministry of social justice. I was also privileged to work with Frank on the Board of General Commission on Religion and Race when I was on the staff in DC. Prayers and blessings to his family.

I had the honor and pleasure of working with Frank on The United Methodist Church's General Commission on Religion & Race when he was a board member. His tenacity and passion in addressing inequity in the church and in society fostered deeper understanding and appreciation of others, especially those whose stories and presence were under-represented. He was instrumental in bringing needed change within the church's structure; most notably the creation of the Pacific Islander Caucus and Plan. His support of Native American ministries and justice cannot be understated; he was a true, courageous friend and partner to me and to the late Rev. Kenneth Deere when we served as GCORR's Native American executive staff. Creator gifted Frank with voice, heart, humor and strength; he shared these generously and made our work together and our world better place and a lot more fun. Thank you dear friend - I will miss you.

Frank and I served together on the South Conference Committee on Religion and Race for many years, before he moved to California. I recently reconnected with him when my wife and I began attending the RUMPAS retirees and spouses' breakfast fellowship. Frank was a dear brother in Christ and it has been my privilege to know him. Rest in God's peace, old friend!
