Richard W. Lally, 91, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 9, 2017. He was born on July 30, 1926 in Louisville, KY to the late William and Beatrice Lally.

Richard served his country by enlisting in the Army and served during WWII. He moved to Indianapolis in 1965 and worked as a type setter for the Indianapolis Star. He was a devoted member of St. Jude Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed playing the piano and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by four sons, Richard W. Lally Jr., James R. Lally (Kathy), Joseph L. Lally, and Paul A. Lally; one daughter, Karen M. Lally (Terry Guernsey);and one sister, Mary Jane Lenahan (Joe) . He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher and Benjamin Lally; one great grandchild, Drake. Aside from his loving parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Erma M. Lally.
