Robert “Bob” Maloney, 98, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 20th. He was born to George & Elizabeth Maloney on December 12th, 1918 in Indianapolis. On October 6th, 1951 he married the love of his life; Mary Mahala Crutcher. He retired in 1985 after 29 years with the U.S. Post office. In his own words, "I lived a long good life". He never met a stranger, always had a joke to tell and a song to sing. 

He is predeceased by his parents, his sister, Delores and oldest son, Mike Maloney. He is survived by his wife, Mary and his son, John (Kathleen), several nieces and nephews as well as many extended family and close friends. We would like to thank the staff at Rosegate Nursing Home for the excellent care they provided him in his last weeks as well as the support you have given to his family. He made many friends while there and charmed all of the nurses.

Services will be Saturday, July 22th in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., with viewing from 11-1 and graveside services at 1:30 in St. Joseph Cemetery.   Online condolences have been suggested to St. Mark Catholic Church of which he was a long-time member.
