Rodney P. Hopkins, 69, of Indianapolis passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017. He was born on July 21, 1948 to late Albert and Marjorie Hopkins.
Rodney served in the Army during Vietnam. When he returned from his service in the Army he worked as a painter. He enjoyed listening to country music, liked camping and fishing, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his two brothers, Joseph Hopkins (Tia), Albert Hopkins Jr. (Leigh); his five sisters, Darlene Hight (Mark), Pat Welp, Kathleen Gibson, Bonnie Edwards (David), and Suzie Hoyt (Monte). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends. Aside from his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Carla Pitts Hopkins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services with a service at 7 p.m.   Final disposition will be cremation.
