Thomas J. McHugh, 77, of Indianapolis passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017.  He was born on September 3, 1939 to the late Patrick F. and Marjorie F. (Butcher) McHugh in Indianapolis.  Tom was a police officer with IPD for 23 years prior to his retirement and proud to be a member of the F.O.P. in Indianapolis.  He is survived by his daughter, Mary C. Temple (Luke); siblings Mike McHugh and Mary Ellen Reed; and grandchildren, Gracie Walker, Timmy Walker and Paul Perdue.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Catherine (Minton) McHugh; his parents; and siblings, Patrick F. McHugh, Jr. and Marjorie A. McHugh.  Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, April 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S.
