Thomas Frank Thornton, 42, of Indianapolis, passed away at home with his family on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 after a 3 & ½ year battle with colon cancer.  He was born on May 13, 1974 to Col. John Clifford and Laura Olivia (Prinzi) Thornton in Montgomery, Alabama.  Tom received his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and his Pharm.D. from Butler University.  He was a pharmacist with Kroger and has been in practice since 2003.  Tom was always thinking of others & we have asked that people perform random acts of kindness in his name to pay it forward.  He is survived by his loving wife, Julie K. (Knox) Thornton; children, Sydney and Sam Thornton; parents, Col. John C. and Laura O.
