Alvis M. Mullins, 77, of Greenwood passed away on July 8, 2018. He was born in Richmond, IN on December 13, 1940 to the late William and Susan Mullins.
Alvis enlisted in the Air Force and spent two years in Japan before returning to civilian life. It was when he returned that he married his wife Mary Alice to start a family. He enjoyed playing classical piano, was an avid golfer. He and his wife were members of Mt. Pleasant Church since 1992.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Alice Mullins; his son Michael T. Mullins of Indianapolis; his daughter Lisa D. Cody (Tim) of Bargersville; his three grandchildren, Brittany Petree, Michael T. Mullins, Jr., and Molly A. Mullins. He is also survived by numerous extended family and close friends. Aside from his loving parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Mullins.
Friends and family will gather on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., with a service celebrating his life at 3 p.m. Cremation will follow services.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) or for floral tributes.
