Arlene Judith “Judy” Downs, 75, of North Vernon, IN. passed away on October 22, 2019.  She is the daughter of Betty Keel & the late Rudolph Horn.  She was born in Hope, IN. on October 08, 1944. She married Billy Downs February 14, 1981.

Judy is survived by her mother; Betty Keel of Greensburg, IN.; one son, Jesse Pelley of North Vernon, IN., 3 daughters; Julie Fowler of Pensacola, FL., Jana Pena (Rudy) of Silverhill, AL. & Jeanette Smedley of North Vernon, IN.; two brothers; Parry Keel (Beverly) of Lake Stevens, WA. & Gary Keel (Caroline) of Oriental, NC; one sister; Mary Sowders of Bedford, IN.; best friend & cousin; Cindy Greenwell of Nabb, IN.; 11 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren & many other friends & relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Billy Downs, her father; Rudolph Horn & a brother; Roy Keel.

She worked for Cummins Engine Company & Cummins Electronics where she retired. 

Judy will be missed dearly by her loved ones. She enjoyed spending time with her family & friends. The life of the party, she loved to laugh, joke, play cards & board games. She also liked to relax at home & was an avid reader.

There will be a “celebration of life” held at a later date.
