Barbara Woodson Obituary

Barbara Ann Woodson, age 64, of Indianapolis passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at I.U. Methodist Hospital. She was born on May 15, 1954 in Northhampton, England to the late William and Rose Coons.

Barbara provided for her family by working as a Bailiff for the Marion County Court system. As a lover of animals, Barbara owned cats and dogs and enjoyed bird watching. She will also be remembered for being an devoted friend to many. Barbara was a very social person who easily made meaningful connections with those around her. She enjoyed a good cocktail with friends and living in the moment.

Above all, Barbara enjoyed her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and her best friend.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mark A.Woodson; her son, Josh Woodson (Deb) of Cleveland, TN; her daughter, Megan Woodson (fiancé: Joseph Rosner) of Indianapolis; her brother, William Coons of Indianapolis; her two sisters, Elizabeth White (Kevin) of Indianapolis, and Catherine Lakin of of Indianapolis. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Tyler, Jadyn, Leeann, Katherine, Jennifer, Brian, and Stephanie; one great grandchild, MJ.

A celebration of her life will be held at Big Daddies Bar & Grill (2536 S. Meridian Street) from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2018  Arrangements and care provided by Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form donations to the South Side Animal Shelter (1614 W. Edgewood Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46217).
