Billy Paul "HaHa" Morris, 71, passed away on March 3, 2018. He was born to Robert and Rosa Morris on December 5, 1946 in Delaware County, Indiana.
Bill served in the Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1967. He has been affiliated with the Original Midnight Riders since the early 1970’s and was a lifetime member of almost 50 years. He held several officers’ positions in the club over the years, mainly Treasurer. He also worked at Sears for 45 years.
Knowledgeable about a broad range of topics, he credited it to reading the Indianapolis Star cover to cover every day, including comics. He was a generous man and valued helping others. At 71 years old, he was the most technologically savvy person in the family and was able to bring a dead computer back to life. HaHa liked a good joke and understood the importance of being silly.
Bill is survived by his brothers and sisters including Mary Ann (Morris) White, Robert Morris, Doris (Morris) Shult, Fredrick Miller, and Melanie (Miller) Davis, as well as step siblings, David Troxell, Wilma (Troxell) Goodwin, Loretta (Troxell) Ray, and Bill Troxell, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lloyd and Rosanna Eva Morris and Carol Leo and Rosa Charlotte Miller. And the following siblings, Rosalyn (Morris) Niles, Jane (Morris) Troxell, and Paul Troxell.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 10, 2018 in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services (1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN, 46225) with visitation 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis.
