Daniel Junior Ballard

Daniel Jr. Ballard, 82, of Greenwood died on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 23, 1936 in Marrowbone, Kentucky to the late Robert and Evi Ballard.

Daniel provided for his family by working as a plumber. Among his interests were fishing, watching sports and yardwork. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his family.

He is survived by two sons, Jay Daniel Ballard of Castle Rock, CO, James Edward Ballard (Amy) of Bargersville, IN; two daughters, Tina Jenkins of Greenwood and Alberta Vasquez (Rick) of Indianapolis; his long time companion, Gloria Ballard; one stepson, Rick Loy; seven grandchildren; Casey, Justin, Victoria, Logan, Markus, Tommy, Daniel and Melissa. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.

Aside from his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by a step son, William Loy; as well as all of his brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services (1458 South Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46225) with a visitation being held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
