David Peter McGrath, 67, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017.  He was born on May 13, 1949 to the late Calvin Peter and Rosalind (Wallace) McGrath in Indianapolis.  David served on the Indianapolis City Council for over 20 years and was very active in politics and the Republican Party.  He also enjoyed watching wrestling with his kids.  Survivors include his children, David McGrath, Darin McGrath, McKenzie McGrath and Kayla Dietz; step-mother, Oma McGrath; grandchildren, Sarah, Lindsey, Karlee and Kaylynn; and one great-grandchild, Christine.  Family and friends will celebrate his life on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 12 to 4 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S.
