Edmund Otto Munsch Sr., age 81, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019. He was born on December 17, 1937 in Manhattan, New York to the late Otto Munsch and Barbara (Riehle) Munsch. Ed grew up in New York City. He enlisted in the Army after high school and after serving in the Army he met and married the love of his life, Theresa, on April 28, 1962. He and Theresa settled on the southside of Indianapolis where they were members of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Ed worked for many years for the Kroger Corporation and for the Indiana State Department of Corrections. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3660 and the American Legion. He loved to grill and be with his family and friends. If you needed help or work needed to be done, he always knew a guy. He is survived by his wife Theresa M. Munsch; children, Edmund Jr., (Linda), Eric Munsch, Anne Munsch and Kathleen Munsch. Grandchildren, Taylor Munsch (Christopher Meek), and Stephen Munsch, along with Rex, his loyal canine. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Fred Munsch and Frank Munsch. Family and friends will gather on Friday, October 25, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian Street, Indianapolis IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at noon in Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, with additional visitation in the church prior to mass starting at 11:00 a.m. A private burial will take place at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.
