Edward Allen Sexson, 60, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 3, 2017 due to recent health complications.

He was born on March 12, 1957 to Robert B. and Aiko Sexson in Battle Creek, Michigan. Edward graduated from Lawrence Central High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, as well as an MBA with an emphasis in Health Administration from Southwest Baptist University. He honorably served in the United States Army, then went on to work for the U.S. Public Health Service at the Federal Medical Center in Springfield, MO for over 10 years before retiring.

Accomplished and well-versed in many areas, Ed sought out the best in life. His countless passions and hobbies included hunting, fishing, tying flies, cooking, art, music, guitar, photography, and hiking. He had numerous collections, a very green thumb, a love for learning and a great sense of humor. But most notably, Ed deeply loved and supported his children, grandchildren, parents, brothers, sisters and friends. He was a blessing to those around him and leaves behind a legacy of love that will last generations.

Edward was preceded in death by his brother Robert. He is survived by his parents. His sons; Christopher (Krystal), Patrick (Allison) and Joseph from his marriage to Kathleen, all of Springfield, MO. Siblings; Leonard (Rose), Roberta, Cindy, Donald and John (Shannon). Grandchildren; Violet, Sylvie, Emmaline and one on the way.

A visitation will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 15th at the Rocklane Christian Church with a memorial service immediately following at 3 pm.
