Frank "Sonny" Ronald Meister

Frank “Sonny” Ronald Meister, age 76, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019.  He was born on July 30, 1942 in Beech Grove, Indiana to the late Frank George Meister and Mary Frances (Dufek) Meister. 

Sonny graduated from Southport High School in 1960.  He was a hard working man who loved his kids and grandkids.  Sonny was in the restaurant business and owned the Branding Iron/Sonny’s Place in Greenfield for 30 years; and later, he worked for family at Iaria’s.  He loved going to the horsetrack and playing the lottery.  His kids loved to call him an MCL VIP as he loved to eat out and frequented MCL.  He was very generous, would brighten any room  and was popular where ever he went. 

Survivors include his loving daughter, Lisa Meister; sons, Anthony and Frank D. Meister; grandchildren, Kayla Walker and Matthew, Anthony and Lindsey Meister; and the mother of his children and former wife, Margaret Meister. 

Family and friends will gather on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral Home, 1458 S. Meridian St.  Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 11 a.m. in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 520 Stevens St., with prayers being said at the funeral home prior to Mass at 10:30 a.m.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
