George Ray Rich

George Ray Rich, age 81, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at home.  He was born on February 8, 1938 in Celina, Tennessee to the late Louis and Leek Maxey (Pennington) Rich. 

George was a steel fabricator who was known for his hard work ethic; he enjoyed figuring out how to make things and was very creative.  He had a great sense of humor and was a hard person to forget even after meeting him just one time. 

George loved his family, especially his beloved wife of 58 years, Betty (West) Rich; children, James Rich (wife, Tonia), Tammy Qualls (husband, Robert) and Carolyn Wicks (husband, Harry); sister, Edith Rutledge; grandchildren, Mary Daniels, Jolie Daniels, George Russell Rich, William Louis Rich, Jamie Ray Rich, Thomas Qualls (wife, Ashley), Sarah McNeff (husband, Clay), Nicholas Qualls (wife, Stephanie), Abigail Starling (husband, Kaleb) and Michael Rich (wife, Katie); great-grandchildren, Samuel Rich, Zelda Starling and Elliott McNeff. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, John Martin Rich, Glenna Belle Craig and Fred Rich. 

Services will be held in Celina, Tennessee with burial in the Doc Hall Cemetery.
