Harold Edwin Cook

Harold Edwin Cook, 76, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019.  He was born March 1, 1943 in Indianapolis to the late Hershel and Iris (Taylor) cook. 

Harold was a graduate of Harry E. Wood High School and later retired from Office Works.  He enjoyed being at home and in working with his tools, especially woodworking.  Harold was very organized and kept very detailed notes and lists.  He loved his dogs, Brian the Boston and Benny. 

Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Dollie (Tyree) Cook; children, Tamara Scales, Trevor Cook (Lisa) and Jennifer Nanny; siblings, Arlie Cook (Annette) and Kirby Cook (Beverly); grandchildren, Michael Scales, Whitney Cook, Crystalyn Scales, Jesse Cook (Megan) and Jacob Nanny; great-grandchildren, Krista Allen, Devin Scales, Madison Pryce and Brenna Scales. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Troy Cook; and sister, Jean Ellen Jewell. 

Visitation will be on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a prayer service at 1 p.m.  Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Greenwood.
