Helen G. Searcy- Rosebrock, 101, of Indianapolis passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019. She was born on April 30, 1918 in Indianapolis to the late Elmer Searcy and Agnes Rupple- Searcy.
Helen graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1936. She worked for Bucks Supermarket in the office for 20 years. Helen was a devoted parishioner of St. Roch Catholic Church since 1950. She enjoyed playing cards with a group of her friends and after time became known as the “Golden Girls”.
Survivors include one nephew, Ronald Searcy; six great nieces and nephews, Louis Stumpf (Susie), Larry Stumpf (Terry), Monsignor Bill Stumpf, Brad Searcy, Julia Bozarth and Terri Faller. She is also survived by nine great great nieces and nephews; eight great great great nieces and nephews and three great great great great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Roch Catholic Church (3600 S. Pennsylvania St), with visitation prior to Mass from 10:00 a.m. until the start of mass. Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions have been suggested to St. Roch Catholic Church in her memory and envelopes will be provided at the church.
