Jean Marie (Miller) Miller

Jean Marie Miller, 59, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019.  She was born on November 24, 1959 in Beech Grove to the late Richard Arthur and Ruth Ellen (Wells) Miller. 

Jean Marie was a graduate of Roncalli High School, class of 1978 and grew up working in the family business, Millers Regal Market.  She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 plus years, was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and was a loving and devoted wife and mother.  She was a fighter, battling cancer for many years, regardless she always put others first, especially her family. 

Survivors include her beloved husband of 25 years, Gary Miller; sons, Jerry (Maddie) Miller and Benjamin (Madison) Miller, both active in military service; siblings, Richard Miller, Mark (Lora) Miller, Matt (Dora) Miller, Camilla “Cammy” (Gary) Mauzy, Edith Marie Miller and Laura (Lee) Simmons; and her two beloved Chihuahuas, Bear and Reo. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Miller; siblings, Rebecca Ann (Chuck) Yager and Frances Marie Miller; and sister-in-law, Judy Miller. 

Family and friends will gather on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1530 Union St., with prayers being said at the funeral home prior to Mass at 9:30 a.m.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
