Leslie Moffett Clark “Les”, age 95, of Indianapolis passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019. He was born on July 3rd, 1923 in Millersburg, KY to the late Heber H. Clark and Alberta E. Moffett- Clark.
After high school, Leslie went on to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Army. He attained the rank of Corporal and was stationed in the Philippines and Japan. He attended the University of Kentucky where he was a member in both the Alpha Chi Sigma, and Sigma Nu Fraternities. Leslie married the love of his life, Esther M. Lauck on June 16, 1951 and began a family. He provided for his family by working as a chemist at CPC International, and was a long time member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church. He was a member of the ROMEO Club and participated in Silver Sneakers exercise club at the Baxter YMCA. Les enjoyed poker and earlier in his life participated in regular poker nights with friends. Les was proud of his home state of Kentucky and was granted the title of Kentucky Colonel on June 11, 2019. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.
He is survived by his daughter, Janet R. Trulock of Indianapolis; his three grandsons, Patrick Steven Trulock (Megan) of Arlington, VA, Kevin Michael Trulock, M.D.(Danielle) of Shaker Heights, OH, and Nicholas Todd Trulock of Indianapolis, IN; as well as 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous extended family and close friends.
Aside from his loving parents, Les is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Esther M. Lauck- Clark; his son-in-law, Steven Trulock; and his brother, Dan Clark.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services ( 1458 South Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46225). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Barnabas Catholic Church (8300 Rahke Road, Indianapolis, IN 46217). A prayer service will be held prior to mass at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial: Calvary Cemetery
