Mary Alice English, 81, of Indianapolis passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017. She was born in St. Mary, PA on January 24, 1936 to the late Walter and Mary Kerchinski.

She was a devoted member along with her husband at Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ Catholic Church in Indianapolis. Prior to living in Indiana she was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wayne, MI. In her free time she enjoyed gardening and knitting. She also enjoyed traveling (two of her most memorable trips were to Hawaii and Europe).

She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Richard English; her son, Raymond Walter English (Jason H. Henry); her brother, Walter “Wally” Kerchinski; her three sisters, Betty Winkler, Alice Jankowski, and Andrea Tatum. Aside from her loving parents, she is preceded in death by her two sisters, Doris Kerchinski and Shirley Barbish.

A visitation will be held in Indianapolis on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services (1458 S. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46225).
