Michael V. McGreevy, 63, of Greenwood, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2019 after a very short battle with cancer. He was born on August 30, 1956 in Indianpolis to the late Donald Leonard McGreevy and Janet Anne (Dailey) McGreevy.
Mike was a graduate of Roncalli High School, class of 1974 and the owner of Indy Seal Coating & Striping, Inc. He was the bowling coach at Roncalli High School, for over 25 years, and was instrumental in it becoming a “Letter” Sport. Mike was a former Legends Race Car driver, he loved the Colts and Notre Dame Football and was an avid poker player. He bowled in many bowling leagues and was a former officer of the Indiana State Bowling Congress. He was named the High School Bowling Coach of Year by the State of Indiana for 2009/2010. Mike was a member, and very active volunteer, of St. Roch Catholic Church and the St. Roch Men’s Club.
Survivors include his son, Michael V. McGreevy II and his wife, Andrea; sister, Kathleen McGreevy; and long-time companion, Grayce White.
Family and friends will gather on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 13 at 11 a.m. in St. Roch Catholic Church, friends may call prior to Mass from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Per his wishes, he was cremated prior to services.
