Nancy Jane Jay, 73,of Indianapolis passed away on Sunday, September 1st, 2019 at Hooverwood Jewish Home where she had resided for the last two years. She was born on April 19, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio to the late George Jr. and Marjorie Jay.
She, along with her daughter, owned and operated a daycare business in Florida prior to her returning to Indiana to work at Walmart before she retired due to her diagnosis of dementia.
She is survived by one son; Tab Brown-Pulliam (Randy) of Indianapolis; two daughters, Michelle “Missi” Brown-Levine (Mike) of Indianapolis, Nicole “Nikki” Weaver-Isaacs (Chad) of Cape Coral, Florida; a close niece who was more of a daughter, Melody Addington; her sister Mary Bowers (Donald) of Greenville, OH; six grandchildren, Mitchell Levine, Marisa Levine, Monica Woodruff, Seirra Woodruff, Annabelle Woodruff and Laura Isaacs; three step grandchildren, Nick Pulliam, Allison and Owen Isaacs.
Aside from her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, William Jay Sr.; one son, Brad Brown; and a grandchild, Jereth Blake.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 9, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services (1458 South Meridian Street). Funeral service will be held following the visitation at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
