Oswin Fernando Ortiz

Oswin Fernando Ortiz, age 17, died on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. He was born on February 2, 2002 in Indianapolis.

Oswin was a junior at Perry Meridian High School. He will be remembered for his protective spirit for those that he loved and cared about. He enjoyed playing football, lifting weights and keeping fit. He liked nature and always found bugs.

He is survived by his loving parents, Oswin F. Ortiz and Patricia Y. Zivec- Ortiz; his maternal grandparents, Rosalinda Zivec and Sergio Horacio Zivec; his paternal grandparents, Fernando Ortiz and Blanca Ortiz; his brother and sister, Lesley Y. and Dominic R. Ortiz; his maternal aunts, Stephanie Zivec, Belinda Maldonado; his one paternal aunt,  Arelyy S. Ortiz ; his one uncle, Jesus H. Zivec. He is also survived by numerous extended family and close friends. He was preceded in death by an uncle, Sergio Humberto Zivec.

A calling will be held on Tuesday, September 17th, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services ( 1458 South Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46225).
