Robert Eugene Burkhardt

Robert Eugene Burkhardt, 70, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019 in Franciscan Health Hospital.  He was born on April 3, 1949 in Indianapolis to the late Bobby Eugene and Gladys L. (Tomason) McDonald. 

He was a man who deeply loved his wife, children, and grandchildren; he was a mentor to his siblings. 

Survivors include his loving wife, Judy Ann (Gulley) Burkhardt; sons, Brandon Burkhardt (Stephanie) and Dustin Burkhardt; siblings, Sharon Manifold (Roy), Linda Reynolds (Kenny), Vicky Burkhardt and Diane McCarty (Joe); and grandchildren, Isaac and Caleb Burkhardt. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Judy Coleman (Buddy) and Gary McDonald. 

A service celebrating Bobby’s life will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 1 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis, where calling will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cremation will follow services as per his wishes.
