Robert J Hermann

Robert J. Hermann, known to friends as "Bob," passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at the age of 62.

Born on March 7, 1956, to Richard (Dick) W. Hermann and Marianne D. (Lowe) Hermann, Bob was a native of Indianapolis and a graduate of the 1974 class from Cathedral High School.  Subsequent to graduation, he joined his father at Wm. Hermann & Son, where he and his brother would become the 4th generation to run the family business. Bob had a passion for his work that was only surpassed by the love he had for his family. In 1988, Bob married his beloved wife Wanda. They resided in Beech Grove, Indiana, where they raised their family and were active members of St. Jude Catholic Church.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, his brother, Richard J. Herman, sister Suzy Sahm, and daughter Karissa D. Gindling.  He is survived by his mother, his wife, Wanda L. (Pruitt) Hermann, sons Benjamin J. Hermann (Nancy) and R. Scott Gindling (Hayley), daughter, Barbara Day (Doug), sisters, Beth (Jack) Finney, Dolores (Mark) Thie and Donna Williams, 14 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and dog Lady.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 27, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 5353 McFarland Road, Indianapolis, IN, from 9:30 to 11:30 am immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
