William "Bill" R. Anderson

William “Bill” R. Anderson, age 49, passed away at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis, Indiana, on April 21, 2019.  Bill was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, on December 18, 1969, to Thomas and Sandra (Brumbaugh) Anderson and was the oldest of three children.  

Bill graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1994 and worked as a computer programmer at Baker Hill.  He married Laura Lawson on August 26, 1995, with whom he raised two sons and cared for several pets. Bill enjoyed rock concerts / music, movies, plays / musicals, volunteering for school functions and marching band, coached soccer, and most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Anderson; his mother, Sandra Anderson; and father-in-law, William Lawson. 

Survivors include his wife, Laura Anderson; his two sons, Logan and Sawyer Anderson; his brother, Michael Anderson (Heidi); his sister, Paula Anderson; four nieces, Jessica Friskney, Elizabeth O’Rourke, Katrina Thurber, and Izzy Anderson; nephew, Nikolai Anderson; mother-in-law, Janice Capestany (Robert); sister-in-law Amy Skalski (Craig) with nephews, Kyle and Luke; brother-in-law, Adam Lawson (Amy) and nephews, Aiden and Andrew; and his father-in-law’s wife, Wanda Lawson.    

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 7 p.m. with Barbara Milton officiating.  The family will greet friends from 3 to 7 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill’s name to the American Cancer Society.  Online condolences:  www.LauckFuneralHome.com
