Wilma Brinegar Obituary

Wilma “Mimi” Doris Brinegar, 98, of Indianapolis and formerly of Bloomington, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019.  She was born on October 25, 1920 in Bloominton, Indiana to the late Luther Chester and Mary Jane (Butcher) Brinegar. 

Wilma was a long-time member of the West Second Church of Christ in Bloomington.  She was also referred to by the Herald Times as the “Lady on the Square” as she worked retail for many of the businesses on the square prior to retirement. 

Survivors include nephews and niece, Robert M. Sare (Janet), Sherry L. Sims and Timothy M. Sare; great-nephew, Matthew Sare; great-niece, April Edwards-Skinner (Doug); and great-great-niece, Kelsey Loya. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Robert A. Brinegar and H. June Sare; and great-nephew, M. Shane Edwards. 

A memorial service will be held on a later date.  Arrangements and care were provided by Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services.
