Angela Denette (Baker) Pope

Angela Denette (Baker) Pope, age 51, of Mooresville, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022. The daughter of Harry Lee Baker and Judy Ann (McCloud) Stansberry, Angela was born Saturday, August 14, 1971 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

For several years, she worked as a warehouse associate with Dick’s Sporting Goods in Plainfield, Indiana, retiring in 2008. She enjoyed doing things with her three grandsons and being with family, she loved to cook. Angela took pleasure working in the yard tending to her flowers. More recently, she took up crocheting.

On Friday, June 30, 1995, she married Douglas Dwayne Pope, and he preceded her in death on Saturday, July 24, 2021. Survivors include her daughter, Jonie W. (husband: Zachary) Bradshaw of Mooresville; sons, Dustin L. Gardner of Indianapolis and Rusty W. Pope of Greenwood; three grandsons, Bentley L. Bradshaw, Benson W. Pope and Bryson M. Pope; and sister, Lori Ann (husband: Royce) Sieber of Indianapolis. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Private Jason Lee Smith.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 South Meridian Street, Indianapolis. Pastor Jimmy Parsons will officiate at funeral services Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery, Indianapolis.
