Anita “Jo” Keller, 69, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021. She was born on May 26, 1951 in Indianapolis, to the late James and Mary (Myers) Hinkle. She married the love of her life on August 12, 1970, Robert Leon Keller, Sr.; he preceded her in death.
Jo graduated from Mooresville High School, class of 1969 and retired from Anthem after 32 years of service. To Jo, her family and close friends were everything. She was an avid Roncalli fan and her grandchildren’s greatest cheerleader. Jo loved all sports, especially football and college basketball. She was always putting others first and even planned her own celebration of life the week before she passed away to spend time with family and friends. She will truly be missed.
Survivors include her sons, Morgan L. (Stacey) Keller, Robert L. (Brandy) Keller Jr. and James C. (Christa) Keller; siblings, Lonnie Hinkle, Ricky (Susie) Hinkle and Pamela Adams; grandchildren, Breana (Bob) Clements, Nicholas (Morgan), Lucas, Tynlee, Brystol, Courtney, Carley and Carson Keller, Jenni (Justin) Hobbs, Anna (Danny) Horsley, Capri (Preston) Payton and Derek Corwin. Jo is also survived by two sets close friends, Irene & Dan Emery and Charlotte & Steve Roark. In addition to her husband and parents, Jo was also preceded in death by siblings, Perry Hinkle, Charlene McRae, Marie Walters, Mark Hinkle and William Hinkle.
Family and friends will gather on Monday, April 26, 2021 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., and one hour prior to Mass at the church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 27 at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Duc Pham, O.F.M. presiding. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
