Anne Therese Hook, 52, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020. She was born on February 10, 1967 in Indianapolis to Robert E. and Mary E. (Carter) Sitzman; both survive.
Anne was a 1985 graduate of Scecina High School and worked for Thomas/Euclid Machine for the past 15 years. She loved to sew and made many outfits for her grandchildren not to mention all the costumes for the musicals at Little Flower Catholic School where her son is the music teacher. Anne was very thoughtful, often using her cooking and baking talent to show her appreciation to others. One of the things she loved most was being a “Mamo” to her three beautiful grandchildren. She had many difficult life experiences but was incredibly strong and a role model to all those around her.
Survivors include her loving husband of five years, Jesse B. Hook; children, Gabriel Elam (Meredith) and Sarah Elam; her parents, Robert and Mary; step-sons, Jacob Hook (Hayley), Jordan Hook (Ashley) and Jared Hook; siblings, Bob Sitzman (Linda), Jim Sitzman (Patty), Mary Hunt (Kurtis), Bill Sitzman (Barb) and Steve Sitzman (Carol); grandchildren, Elowen Elam, Locryn Elam and Charlie Hook; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends will gather on Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 31 at 11 a.m. in St. Roch Catholic Church, 3600 S. Pennsylvania St., a meal will follow services in the St. Roch Parish Hall.
