Anthony Tyler Phelps

Anthony Tyler Phelps, 36, of Indianapolis, died tragically on Friday, September 23, 2022.  He was born July 19, 1986, in Indianapolis, to Angela Rae (Phelps) Spears.

Anthony was called Uncle Bum by all the kids, was beloved by all, especially the children in the family.  He was caring and would give you the shirt off his back.  He loved kids, his mother and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping and fishing.  His big dream was to live off the grid!  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. 

Survivors include, his loving mother, Angela Spears; sisters, Misty Phelps, Angela Phelps and Samantha Hasson; Aunts and Uncles, Rita Sorrels, Tony Phelps, Boobie (Kenny) Tye and Charlie Adams; nieces and nephews, Zeionna, Jorden, Aden, Xavier, Braelyn, Aryana and Kissandra; Cousins, Danny, Curtis, Joey, Chico, Crystal, Chuckie, Kellie, Brian, Antonia, Ashlei, Elizabeth and Little Anthony; best friends, Nick Fletcher, Tony Whitfield, Ashley Williams and Christina Hall. 

Anthony was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sandra Phelps; and nephews, Robert Anthony Phelps and Isaiah James Hasson. 

Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, September 28, from 2 to 5 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., with a service celebrating his life by his loving and devoted family at 5 p.m. following visitation.  Inurnment will be private, and he will be buried with his grandmother in Concordia Cemetery on a later date.
