Tony Slinker, 66, passed away surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, unwavering love, and cherished memories.

Tony devoted 47 years of his life to International Paper, where he was known for his dedication, loyalty, and strong work ethic. He took great pride in his work and in providing for the people he loved.

When he wasn’t working, Tony could often be found on the golf course at Southern Dunes or with a fishing pole in his hand. Golf and fishing were more than hobbies—they were places where he found peace, friendship, and joy.

For more than 18 years, Tony shared a beautiful life with his beloved partner, Teresa. Together they built a relationship rooted in love, laughter, and steadfast companionship.

Tony was known for loving fiercely. He had a heart that was bigger than words could express, and while those who knew him would probably agree he could be a little stubborn, that same determination made him dependable, resilient, and someone who never gave up on the people he loved. His family was always his greatest priority.

He leaves behind his loving daughter, Brandi (Patrick) Kirkhoff; his stepdaughter, Cassie (Brandon) Smith; and the lights of his life, his grandchildren: Grace, Reagan, Ava, Parker, Charlotte, Abigail, and Tristan. Being “Papa” was one of his greatest joys, and he treasured every moment spent making memories with them.

Tony will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous spirit, unwavering loyalty, and the deep love he gave so freely. Though his absence leaves an immeasurable void, his family finds comfort in knowing his love and example will remain with them forever.

Those who knew Tony know that a day on the golf course, and time spent with family were all he ever really needed. His life was one well lived, and his memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
