Barbara Jean Connaughton (née Weber), departed this life on February 7, 2024, at the age of 92, in her birthplace of Indianapolis, Indiana. Born to Herman and Mary Weber on October 23, 1931, Barbara's life journey was one marked by devotion to family, a spirit of generosity, and a zest for life that was evident to all who knew her.

Barbara's role as a corporate wife saw her supporting her husband Jack's career, which led them and their daughters, Laura and Lisa, to make their home in various cities. Through these moves, Barbara remained the cornerstone of her family, infusing their lives with joy, creativity, and care. Her commitment to her family was paralleled only by her dedication to community service, where she gave generously of her time and talents.

Her professional life was characterized by a successful tenure in retail fashion sales, where Barbara's charm and grace were as much a part of her as the stylish apparel she sold. She brought beauty not only to wardrobes but also to the interactions she had with each person she met.

The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in a Memorial Service celebrating Barbara's life, to be held Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church,1530 Union St, Indianapolis, IN. The visitation will commence at 10 am, followed by the Funeral Mass and concluding with a graveside service.

Barbara's memory will be cherished by her daughters, Laura Connaughton and Lisa Lee (Bob), her grandsons, Andy and Adam (Kayla), and her great-grandchildren, Otto, Rory, and Teddy Lee. She was greeted in death by her husband, Jack Connaughton, her parents, and her siblings, Mary Barron and Don Weber.
