Barbara (Babbie) Joan Bohannon Pitcock, born July 27, 1958, to the late Wayne and Jackie Bohannon. She brought a sharp sense of humor to everyone who knew her. She was a good and loyal friend and always opened her home to everyone. Everyone that knew her, loved her.
On May 30th, Babbie passed away peacefully, held in the gentle care of her remarkable friend and caregiver, Katelynn Gordon who remained faithfully by her side.
Babbie was the mother of Nicole, Christopher, and Natalie and Rainey Like and a presence in the lives of her stepchildren, Dawn (Foster) and Timmy Pitcock. She cherished her role as a grandmother to seven grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, Dennis and Shellie Bohannon, Laurie and Bob Burnett, Patrick Bohannon, Jill and Mike Shanley and Amy and Craig Spencer as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 10 to 11 a.m. in St. Roch Catholic Church, 3600 S. Pennsylvania St., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by Fr. Douglas Hunter. Inurnment will take place on Wednesday, June 17 at a time to be announced in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association, 50 E. 91st St., Ste. 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240. Envelopes will be provided at the church.
