Benjamin “Ben” Eric DeLuca, 58, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 after losing his battle with Covid-19. He was born on March 11, 1962 in Indianapolis to Benjamin Joseph and Kathryn (Porter) DeLuca; his mother preceded him in death.
Ben graduated from Perry Meridian High School, class of 1980 and then attended I.U.P.U.I. He got into the mortgage business and was most recently a mortgage broker with Nest Mortgage.
Ben enjoyed riding his Harley, scuba diving and traveling. He enjoyed attending the Indianapolis 500 race for many years. Cook outs, pool parties and being the life of the party. He enjoyed cooking home cooked meals for the people he cared about most. He loved rock-n-roll music and had a large drum stick collection from the many concerts he attended.
Survivors include his children, Camryn Margaret DeLuca, Connor Benjamin DeLuca, Rachel Suzanne (Derek) Dallas and A. Chad Fender; sister, Liz Friee; grandchildren, Skyler and Cayden Fender; step-sister, Beth (Jeff) Zorman; nieces, Taylor, Rachel and Allison; and fiancé, Rhonda L. Rutledge.
Family and friends will gather on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 1 to 3 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., with a service following at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
