Beveryly Hentig Obituary
Beverly Joan Hentig, age 94, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 in the comfort of her home. She was born on November 3, 1926 in Alameda, California to the late Harry E. and Florence B. (Dahl) Collins. She wed her late husband, Robert George Hentig, on January 3, 1949.
Beverly was the postmistress of a small U.S. Postal Service branch in Minnesota. During WWII she worked in a factory helping to build airplanes. Beverly loved to fish, gamble (pull tabs) and belonged to the Eagles #211 in Beech Grove, Indiana.
Survivors include her children, Sandra Kay (Jim) Fultz, Bobby (Michelle) Hentig, Lynne (Larry) Ledbetter, Patrick (Darlene) Hentig, Karen (Donald) Dahl and Kimberly (Derek) Ervin; eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Hentig; her parents; and two children, John Hentig and Diane Hentig.
Her wishes were to be cremated with no formal services.
