Blake Ray Clayton, 35, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024. He was born on June 17, 1988, in Orlando, Florida, to Stephen Ray Clayton and Patricia Dianne Clayton-Allen; he was preceded in death by his father.
Blake was a graduate of Decatur Central High School, class of 2007. He was a carpenter and proud member of Carpenters Local 301. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his son; he loved his son more than anything in this world.
Survivors include his mother, Patty (Lance Allen) Clayton-Allen; son, Preston Eljay Asher; brothers, Nicholas “Nic” (Tori) Clayton and Mike (Courtny) Clayton; grandmother, Marge Bogardus; niece and nephew, Ella and Chance; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Robert Bogardus and Clifford and Margaret Clayton.
Family and friends will gather on Saturday, June 8 from 11 to 1 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis. A service celebrating Blake’s life will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Loral Tansy officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions be made to Preston Eljay Asher to start a 529 College Fund, c/o Tessa Asher, 905 Ridge Rock Lane, Bargersville, IN 46106.
