Carrie Mae Hausman, 94, of Indianapolis, passed away January 21, 2023. The daughter of the late Charles Wilbur and Esther Rowena (LaFara) Sedam, Carrie was born June 6, 1928 in Rockville, Indiana.
Carrie worked for General Motors – Allison Division for 37 years in the accounting department. She enjoyed bowling, doing ceramic crafts usually making country animals and going to the casino. She researched her family genealogy. Carrie would visit the timeshare she had on Treasure Island and took great pleasure in taking cruises with her sisters and friends, visiting China and having went to Amsterdam with her son, Dale.
Carrie is survived by sons, Gilbert Worthington of Largo, Florida and Dale (Linda) Hausman of Brownsburg; brother, Russell (Joan) Sedam of Indianapolis; sister, Martha Lou Herbert of Columbus Ohio; grandchildren, Robyn (Colton) Kincaid and Randy Evans; great-granddaughter, Raven Alexander Kincaid. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first grandchild, Michael Worthington; brother, Charles Wilbur Sedam, Jr. and sisters, Violet Marie Duncan, Norma Jean McHugh, Doris Lucille Meyers, Phyllis Jacquelin Fisher and Peggy JoAnn Osborne.
Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. January 27, 2023 in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St. Indianapolis where funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. January 28, 2023. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
