Catherine Laverne (Raney) Vargas

Catherine Laverne (Raney) Vargas, 70, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at her Indianapolis residence. Catherine was born on Friday, February 12, 1954 in Indianapolis to the late Harold J. Raney and Audrey (Boltinghouse) Presley.

A homemaker, Catherine loved reading her Bible, would copy verses to help her in memorizing them. She attended Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church.

Catherine is survived by her brother, Steven (Barbara) Raney of Valrico, Florida and several cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald J. Raney.
