Coreene Ann (Galeziewski) McGowan

Coreene Ann (Galeziewski) McGowan, 70, of Avon, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 in Hendricks Community Hospital.  She was born on May 2, 1950 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Stanley and Virginia (Babinski) Galeziewski.  She married the love of her life, Donald D. McGowan Jr., on September 16, 1972.

Coreene graduated from South Bend Washington High School, class of 1968, and prior to retirement, was the office manager for Ditch Witch Midwest in Brownsburg.  She was a loving wife and mother to her only child Stephanie V. McGowan and a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church in Plainfield. 

Survivors include her husband of  48 years, Donald D. McGowan, Jr.; daughter, Stephanie V. McGowan; brother, Chris Galeziewski; in-laws, Greg McGowan and Sue Ann (Rick) Miller; nephew and niece, Clayton Miller and Sonia Lucas. 

A private Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at St. Susannah Catholic Church in Plainfield with the Rev. Rob Hausladen presiding.
