Danny M. Vinci, Sr., 75, of Beech Grove, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 6, 2023, doing what he loved best, fishing. He was born on June 9, 1947, in Beech Grove to the late Frank J. Vinci and Mary Rose (Dennison) Vinci Nutgrass. He married the love of his life, Bonnie J. (Smith) Vinci, on October 6, 1984.
Danny was a graduate of Harry E. Wood High School, class of 1965 and retired from Chrysler after thirty years of service. He also retired as a volunteer firefighter for the Greenwood Fire Department after ten years of service. Danny loved to fish, bowl and spend time with his family. He was known for taking care of others and always put the needs of his large family first. He will truly be missed.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Bonnie J. Vinci; children, Danny M. (Tammy) Vinci, Lisa R. (Tim L.) Cross, Tamara L. (George A.) Holland, Tona J. Mann and Jennifer D. Howard; siblings, Mary (Don) Moore, Deanna Colley, Frank (LuAnn) Vinci and Karen (Tony) Beckham; 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, May 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 11 at 11 a.m. in Holy Name Catholic Church, 89 N. 17th Ave., Beech Grove, with additional visitation from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. followed by the Rosary and then Mass all in the church. Burial will follow services in Calvary Cemetery.
