Delona Carol Brickert, 69, passed away December 11, 2024.

Delona Carol Brickert, born August 3,1955 in Indianapolis Indiana, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024 in Greenfield In. where she had made her home. Delona was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and cherished by all who knew her.

Delona’s life revolved around her family, especially her daughters Margee Petrey and Charlotte, whom she was immensely proud of. Her son in law Scott Alan was always called “my son” by Delona. She found joy in her grandsons Scott Jr (affectionately called Scottie and his wife Samantha) and Zachary (her ZacPak) as well as her great -grandchildren, Bently (“B”) and Sarah (her Sarah Beara). She loved spending time with them, sharing laughter and they loved laughing and creating lasting memories playing games with they're DeDe.

An avid crochet and puzzle enthusiast, Delona would also talk to her big brother Lee on the phone every day and unwind with watching her old westerns. She had a special fondness for Oldies music, often reminiscing about the tunes that shaped her life. Delona was known for straightforward nature, if someone needed to hear the truth, she was always the one to tell it. Her hilariously funny personality brought joy to many, and her caring spirt left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know her.

With her Christian faith, Delona’s strong beliefs guided her through the hardest part of her life with the passing of her beloved daughter Charlotte. She will be remembered for her loving nature, her sense of humor and her unwavering dedication to her family. Delona Carol Brickert’s legacy lives on through her daughter Margee and all the lives she touched during her time with us.

She is survived by her daughter, Margee Petrey, Scott, Scott Jr. & Samantha, Zachary, Bentley and Sarah She is proceeded in death by, her daughter Charlotte Lee Brickert, her parents; George & Margaret Wildrick and six brothers; Jack, George Jr, Sonny, Earl, Lonnie & Eugene and her beloved Aunt Bonnie.

Funeral service will be held at 1pm Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, with burial to follow in Floral Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 11:30 am until time of service.
