Dennis Mathew Fitzpatrick

Dennis Mathew Fitzpatrick, 73, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025, at home with his husband at his side.  He was born on March 20, 1952, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late James and Doris (Toms) Fitzpatrick.  Dennis married the love of his life, Michical W. Davis, on October 19, 2014, at their home.   

Dennis worked in law enforcement his entire working career and had a master’s degree in law enforcement.  He was a police officer with the New York Police Department, worked with the Secret Service for the India Embassies in Washington, D.C., and worked for Pfizer in security; he retired as a 911 operator in Manhattan. 

Dennis and Michical were never apart for over 26 years and were each other’s heart, soul and best friend.  He was a huge NY Yankees fan and enjoyed cooking for his husband and friends. He will be truly missed.

Dennis is survived by his husband, Michical W. Davis, and many loving and dedicated friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Fitzpatrick, Jr.

Friends will gather on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Service, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis. 

Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Concord Neighborhood Center, 1310 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46225 or I.U. Health LifeCare, 1633 N. Capitol Ave, Ste. 300, Indianapolis, IN 46202.  Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
