Diane Lynn (Grantham) Woerdeman

Diane Lynn (Grantham) Woerdeman, 76, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Franciscan Health. She was born on March 28, 1949, in Beech Grove to the late Earl and Judy (Buis) Grantham.

In 1965, Diane married Lester Woerdeman, with whom she shared many joyful years and raised their family. After Lester’s passing, Diane was blessed to find love again and, in 2018, married Jeffery A. Walker, who survives her and was a devoted and loving partner in her later years.

Diane never met a stranger. Known for her sense of humor, her gift for storytelling, and her love of a good time, she brought joy and laughter wherever she went. A faithful Catholic, Diane enjoyed simple pleasures—especially her pull tabs and a glass of wine. She deeply loved her family, and her greatest joy was being “Mamaw/Gigi” to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffery A. Walker; daughters, Jenifer Lynn Squire (Robert Patterson) and Tina Marie Crosley (Thomas); stepdaughter, Autumn Walker; grandchildren, Kylie Matthews (Ryan), Austin Crosley, Madison Crosley, Allyson Squire, Conner Squire, Layla Ingram, and Joseph; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lester Woerdeman; her parents; her son, Lester Carl Woerdeman; and siblings, Karen Stanley and Kenny Grantham.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
